The same rules for waste sorting apply in Lofsdalen as in the rest of Sweden.
This means:
You put compostable household waste (food scraps; e.g. peels, fruit, bread, meat and unbleached kitchen paper) in the brown paper bags marked "komposterbart". These are thrown in the brown bins that are easily accessible at our waste stations. Please see the area map for the exact location of the bins, a link to the map is in the welcome email.
The compostable bags should be available in your cabins in the kitchen. If they've run out, you pack pick up new ones free of charge in the utility sheds and at the grocery store ICA, in the village center.

Paper, plastic, newspapers, glass, cans shall be left at the recycling station found behind the grocery store ICA, in the designated container. You will also find battery box for recycled batteries here. Light bulbs can be left in the utility sheds where you also can pick up new ones.

What remains after you have sorted all the recyclables as mentioned above is very little. Basically just diapers, sanitary napkins, cigarettes, snuff and bleached kitchen paper. Put this garbage in the regular garbage bag and throw it in the locked container/molu (buried), located next to the compostable bins. Please see the area map where to find them.

Please note that the above applies to household waste. Recycling for bulky waste is unfortunately only available in Sveg for the time being. Opening hours can be found online.
